In this contemporary era, some individuals thrive on similarity and are inclined to steer clear of any changes in their lives. Conversely, there exists a contrasting perspective where people consider alterations catalysts for personal and professional growth. In this essay, I am going to analyze both aspects of the given notion. However, I support the latter view.

To embark on the convincing factors which are in favour of the former view. The first and predominant is that stability and an unchanging lifestyle might emphasize the comfort and a sense of security that they can experience in the known. A case in point can be seen in people who tend to stick to one job, albeit with undesirable compensation, as they believe that consistent and predictable routines provide familiarity, which can significantly reduce stress, leading to higher levels of productivity and contentment. Moreover, by avoiding change in life, those who lean on a fixed daily life may be risk-averse, given that potential negative outcomes are often associated with new situations and endeavours. However, this view often overlooks the fact that rigidly adhering to routine can make it difficult for a person to adapt to unexpected events or new circumstances. Without change, people may be hindered from personal growth and miss out on valuable opportunities.

On the contrary, in favour of the latter opinion, people have their arguments. Firstly, change is invariably beneficial as stagnation and aversion to alteration can cause complacency and stifle one’s personal development. The main reason is that by embracing new experiences in life, individuals are able to step out of their comfort zones, confront new challenges, and adapt to evolving different circumstances. This adaptability can breed creativity, resilience, and a broader perspective on life. For instance, those who readily accept change are occasionally more open-minded, resourceful, and better equipped to navigate complexities. Nevertheless, it is also crucial to note that stress and anxiety can be attributed to constant alteration because they are required to adjust themselves to new environments, which can be taxing and take a toll on their overall well-being.

In conclusion, while some acknowledge the comforts of a changeless existence, I concur with those who assert that adaptive changes are beneficial. Mild changes not only break the monotony but also open doors to new possibilities, making them crucial for anyone aiming to enhance their life’s quality.
